Walking in the scorching sun, half-baked and overwhelmed by the clear waters and the white-sand beaches of Boracay Island. Thirsty and meandering through a long street of what seemed like a never ending strip of bars and restaurants and undecided which one is the best, Paradiso Grill is the right place. It has the best Fresh Mango Juice in the entire island. The spicy crab made my day and I was drooling when I saw it served hot in front of me. And don’t forget to surfeit yourself in the magic of Banana Split for dessert.

Holiday Ribs

It’s a holiday and this is how my ribs got its name –Holiday Ribs–. I’m savoring every minute of today as tomorrow, reality takes over. This dish is inspired by my uncle who used to cook duck in a pot with all of its tasty ingredients until it is tenderly cooked. I remember the good old days back in the province. I would chase our ducks in the backyard as they fly away amid the desert of sugarcane.

Ingredients

  1. Ingredients:
  2. pork ribs
  3. garlic
  4. red onions
  5. red bell pepper
  6. pepper corn
  7. salt
  8. potatoes
  9. tomatoes
  10. tomato sauce
  11. kikoman soysauce
  12. lemon soda
  13. sliced pineapple
  14. red wine

Instructions

  1. Directions: 1. Toss everything in a pot except red wine 2. simmer for an hour or until meat is tender 3. pour in red wine and simmer for another 5 minutes 4. serve hot

    Ingredients

    2. Penne Pasta
    3. Cream of Mushroom
    4. butter
    5. Cream
    6. Garlic
    7. White Onions
    8. chopped parsley
    9. Grated Cheese (optional)

    Instructions

    1. Directions: 1. Cook pasta as per instruction, set aside 2. Heat pan 3. Saute butter, garlic, and onion 4. Pour in cream of mushroom, stir well 5. add cream, stir well and simmer for 5 minutes 6. pour sauce over cooked pasta 7. serve immediately and garnish with chopped parsley on top or grated cheese
